About the Role
Haast is building one of the first agentic systems for enterprise legal and compliance teams to automate manual work end-to-end, delivering 80% faster compliance reviews and 4x productivity gains. We recently closed a $12M USD Series A and are seeking a Founding Engineer to be the technical bridge between our product vision and our customers' reality.
The RoleYou'll split your time between building mission-critical code and engaging with customers to understand pain points firsthand. You'll own end-to-end technical decisions, designing systems and shipping to production in a high-autonomy environment where you collaborate directly with the founding team.
What You'll Own- Design, architect, and ship full-stack features that directly solve compliance challenges.
- Own technical relationships with key customers, gathering requirements and translating feedback into product improvements.
- Build scalable services and APIs that power the LLM compliance platform.
- Make high-impact technical decisions and influence the engineering standards and product roadmap.
- Experience building full-stack systems at meaningful scale with proficiency in Go, Node.js/TypeScript, or Python.
- Deep understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and the tradeoffs between speed and reliability.
- A genuine interest in working with customers and solving human problems through technology.
- Proven ability to move quickly in fast-paced environments without breaking core functionality.
- Curiosity about LLMs and excitement for building practical applications on top of them.
