About the Role
Adani Airport Holdings Ltd is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Firefighter (ARFF) to join our elite emergency response team. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Firefighter (ARFF), you will be responsible for a wide range of emergency and preventative duties to maintain the highest safety standards at the airport. Your core duties include:
- Emergency Response: Provide rapid response to aircraft incidents, structural fires, hazardous material leaks, and medical emergencies on airport property.
- Fire Suppression & Rescue: Extinguish fires using advanced techniques involving water, foam, and dry chemicals, and conduct search and rescue operations in hazardous or smoke-filled environments.
- Emergency Medical Services: Deliver first aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) to injured or ill individuals, ensuring patient stability until advanced medical teams arrive.
- Operational Readiness: Conduct daily inspections and rigorous maintenance of firefighting vehicles, specialized extinguishers, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure constant availability.
- Compliance & Reporting: Adhere strictly to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as ICAO-mandated standards. Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and training records for regulatory audits.
- Drills & Training: Participate in routine emergency response simulations, physical fitness training, and fire drills to sharpen response times and tactical execution.
- Hazard Identification: Perform regular patrols to identify potential fire hazards and implement immediate corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Air Traffic Control (ATC), airport operations, and external emergency services to ensure a unified response during critical incidents.
The ideal candidate must possess a strong sense of duty, physical agility, and the technical expertise required for high-stakes aviation firefighting. Requirements include:
- Education: A Diploma in Fire Fighting Technology or an equivalent professional qualification from a recognized institution.
- Certification: Mandatory certification from an accredited firefighting academy.
- Experience: 2-3 years of active firefighting experience. Preference will be given to candidates with specific exposure to Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) operations.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in operating specialized ARFF vehicles and a deep understanding of fire suppression agents and life-saving equipment.
- Soft Skills: Excellent situational awareness, the ability to remain calm under extreme pressure, and strong communication skills for effective coordination during emergencies.
- Physical Fitness: Must meet the medical and physical fitness standards required for emergency service personnel.
