About the Role

Re.Group is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Front End Loader (FEL) Operator to join our dynamic resource recovery team. This pivotal role is essential to our daily operations, ensuring that materials are processed efficiently and our facility maintains peak productivity. As a key member of our site team, you will be responsible for handling large volumes of material, assisting in the diversion of waste from landfill, and contributing to a more sustainable future. This position offers a stable day-shift schedule from 06:00 to 16:00, providing an excellent work-life balance for an experienced machinery operator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Front End Loader safely and efficiently to move, stockpile, and load materials across the site.
  • Perform daily pre-start inspections and basic maintenance on machinery to ensure operational readiness and safety compliance.
  • Assist with the loading of transport vehicles and the feeding of processing units to maintain a continuous workflow.
  • Adhere strictly to site safety protocols and environmental regulations to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and floor staff to coordinate traffic flow and material placement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, identifying and reporting any equipment faults or site hazards immediately.
  • Operate secondary machinery, such as Skid Steers, as required to assist in specialized cleaning or material handling tasks.

Qualifications
  • Current and valid Front End Loader (FEL) Ticket is mandatory.
  • Proven experience operating heavy machinery within a waste management, construction, or industrial environment.
  • Possession of a Skid Steer Ticket is highly desirable and will be viewed favorably.
  • Confined Space (CS) Certification is considered a significant advantage for this role.
  • Strong commitment to Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standards and a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Ability to work reliably during the designated day shift hours of 06:00 to 16:00.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work in an active, industrial outdoor setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
