Engineering Manager

About the Role

Calendly is looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager who combines people leadership with a strong background in technical execution and a product mindset. You will work directly with our Senior Director of Engineering, partnering closely with product, design, data, security, and go-to-market stakeholders to define and deliver the roadmap for new Scheduling products.

What you'll do:

• Lead agile ceremonies to help your team plan, execute, and ship work effectively.
• Coach, mentor, and onboard engineering team members through regular performance and career conversations.
• Identify future technical needs and create actionable plans to meet them.
• Hire engineers to build out both new and existing squads for the company.
• Work on services aimed at simplifying scheduling for millions of global users.

What you'll bring:

• 2+ years of experience managing a team of Software Engineers.
• A track record of leading teams that build and operate highly-available products at scale.
• Strong technical judgment in distributed, service-oriented architectures and API design.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, cross-functional environments alongside Product, Design, and GTM teams.
• A bias for action and a focus on measurable outcomes and continuous operational improvement.
