About the Role

Catalyst Brands India is looking for a talented and driven Engineer 2 to join our growing global engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for building robust, scalable software solutions that drive our core business objectives while ensuring high performance and responsiveness to user needs. As a remote team member, you will collaborate with cross-functional departments to translate complex requirements into seamless technical executions, contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software components and applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate with senior architects and product managers to define system requirements and technical specifications for new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to established industry best practices and internal coding standards.
• Perform comprehensive unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal software performance and reliability.
• Participate in peer code reviews to provide constructive feedback and ensure consistent code quality across the repository.
• Optimize application performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing effective technical solutions.
• Contribute to the documentation of technical processes, API specifications, and system architectures to facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements for existing systems and workflows.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 2 to 4 years of professional experience in software development, preferably in a fast-paced technology environment.
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language such as Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript/Node.js.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong grasp of version control systems, specifically Git, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
