Director of Supply Chain

About the Role

STR is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Supply Chain to lead our procurement function within a dynamic and growing Contracts and Supply Chain team. This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for overseeing supplier sourcing and the full procurement lifecycle while driving process improvements to support STR's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership for all direct and indirect procurement activities in accordance with company policies, FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations.
• Develop and negotiate strategic agreements to leverage purchasing power and secure long-term sourcing strategies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Oversee supply chain security, including due diligence, supplier qualification, market research, and source selection processes.
• Direct complex negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure favorable terms and risk mitigation.
• Identify and manage sourcing risks to ensure business continuity and support customer requirements.
• Support new business opportunities through supplier/teaming strategy and proposal evaluation.
