About the Role
INNERGY is transforming the woodworking industry with purpose-built, cloud-based ERP software designed exclusively for custom manufacturers. Following the strategic acquisition of Microvellum, we are entering a high-growth phase and are looking for a Director of Sales Development who is ready to move beyond activity reports and own the strategic outcomes that drive our revenue engine. This is a leadership-heavy role designed for a builder who understands that a world-class sales development function is rooted in the quality of its leadership layer and the predictability of its pipeline.
As the Director of Sales Development, you will be the architect of our outreach strategy, setting the operating model and the standards for our entire XDR organization. Your success will not be measured by the volume of calls made, but by the strength of the managers you develop and the consistency of the qualified opportunities delivered to our sales team. You will have a seat at the table where revenue is planned, defending a forecast with precision and ensuring our growth remains on an aggressive, yet sustainable, trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
- Functional Strategy: Set the overarching strategy, targets, and operating model for the global sales development organization to ensure maximum efficiency and market penetration.
- Leadership Development: Recruit, mentor, and hold accountable the managers and team leads beneath you, building a resilient management bench that can scale the function independently.
- Capacity Planning: Own the headcount and ramp models to ensure that pipeline growth scales in lockstep with company revenue goals.
- Forecast Accuracy: Deliver a predictable pipeline number that executive leadership can rely on for long-term financial and revenue planning.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner deeply with Marketing, Sales, and RevOps to refine lead routing, segmentation, and the universal definition of a qualified opportunity.
- Tech Stack Ownership: Manage the SDR budget and toolset, selecting and implementing the technology required to make the team faster while proving a clear return on investment.
Qualifications
- Leadership Experience: At least 6 years of experience in sales development, with a minimum of 2 years managing managers or overseeing a multi-team function.
- Proven Scaling: A track record of standing up or scaling SDR/BDR/XDR teams across multiple regions that consistently met or exceeded pipeline targets.
- Analytical Proficiency: Deep fluency in funnel economics, including conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and team attainment metrics.
- Executive Presence: Comfortable operating alongside the C-suite and defending performance data in high-stakes revenue planning environments.
- Mentorship Focus: A history of developing talent where previous direct reports have successfully moved into leadership roles.
- Industry Context: Preference given to candidates with experience in ERP, Vertical SaaS, or software solutions tailored for the manufacturing and construction sectors.
Benefits
- Remote-First Culture: Work from home in a globally distributed team that values autonomy and output over hours at a desk.
- Professional Impact: Join an industry leader at a major growth inflection point where your strategic decisions directly shape the company's future.
- Inclusive Environment: Be part of a culture that prioritizes employee wellbeing, creative problem-solving, and a safe, supportive workplace.
- Competitive Compensation: A comprehensive package including modern benefits and the tools you need to succeed in a remote environment.
