About the Role
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) at TheHiveCareers serves as the primary execution leader and strategic partner to the Chief Executive Officer. In this pivotal executive role, you will be responsible for translating high-level corporate strategy into measurable operational outcomes, overseeing core revenue-generating divisions, and ensuring the organization meets its ambitious financial and commercial objectives. As the DCEO, you will act as a catalyst for organizational performance, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation across Investment Banking, Wealth Management, and Trading sectors. Key Responsibilities- Enterprise Leadership & Execution: Support the CEO in managing the overall company operations, ensuring that all corporate strategies are translated into departmental priorities and individual performance metrics.
- Commercial Growth: Provide executive oversight for revenue-generating businesses, including Investment Banking, Wealth Management, Brokerage, and Treasury, to drive market share expansion and profitability.
- Strategic Transformation: Lead the implementation of Board-approved initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while championing continuous process improvement.
- Financial Stewardship: Partner with the CEO and CFO to manage annual budgets, optimize resource allocation, and maintain disciplined expense management across all business lines.
- Operational Excellence: Collaborate with the VP of Operations and VP of IT to enhance service delivery, client experience, and digital transformation efforts.
- Governance & Risk: Maintain a robust control environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards across the enterprise.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the company in high-level engagements with regulators, institutional clients, and industry bodies, serving as Acting CEO when required.
- Education: Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Economics, or Law is required.
- Certifications: Professional designation such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, or FRM is highly preferred.
- Executive Experience: A minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership experience within financial services, capital markets, or investment management.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in managing multiple business units, leading large-scale organizational transformations, and driving significant revenue growth.
- Strategic Acumen: Deep understanding of financial services regulation, governance frameworks, and capital management.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional executive presence with the ability to influence at the Board level and mentor high-performing senior management teams.
