Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality manual data labeling and annotation across diverse formats, including text, images, and audio, according to specific project guidelines.
- Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to understand project requirements and refine annotation taxonomies.
- Conduct rigorous quality assurance checks on existing datasets to identify and rectify inconsistencies or labeling errors.
- Provide detailed feedback on annotation tools and internal workflows to help optimize the speed and accuracy of data processing.
- Identify and document edge cases within data samples that require specialized handling or further clarification from the engineering team.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy while managing multiple task streams within a flexible, remote environment.
- Contribute to the development of comprehensive annotation manuals and training materials for future team members.
- Proven experience in data annotation, data entry, or a related field requiring exceptional attention to detail and consistency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex instructions and apply them accurately to varied data samples.
- Excellent command of the English language, including a deep understanding of nuance, context, and grammatical structures.
- Technical literacy and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software platforms and custom annotation tools.
- A bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Linguistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Exceptional time management skills and the discipline to meet deadlines while working independently in a remote setting.
- Prior experience with machine learning concepts or working within an Agile development framework is a significant advantage.
