About the Role

CuraSenseAI is seeking a highly analytical and linguistically proficient Data Annotator to join our premier AI evaluation program. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of artificial intelligence development, tasked with assessing and refining complex written content to ensure the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and coherence. As part of a high-selectivity team, your contributions will directly influence the training of sophisticated Large Language Models (LLMs), helping to bridge the gap between human intuition and machine intelligence. We are looking for individuals who possess a passion for language, an eye for subtle nuances, and a commitment to excellence in data integrity. This role requires a unique blend of creative interpretation and technical precision, making it ideal for those who enjoy dissecting the intricacies of communication and logic.

Working within our distributed global team, you will engage with a variety of challenging datasets that require deep contextual understanding and critical thinking. This is more than just a labeling task; it is a collaborative effort to define the ethical and functional boundaries of future AI technologies. You will play a crucial role in mitigating bias and ensuring that AI interactions are helpful, honest, and harmless. If you thrive in a detail-oriented environment and are eager to contribute to the evolution of generative AI, CuraSenseAI offers a unique opportunity to grow your career at the intersection of technology and linguistics. Our program is designed for those who take pride in their work and understand that the quality of AI begins with the quality of the data used to train it.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct meticulous evaluations of complex text-based datasets to provide high-quality annotations for AI model training.
  • Review and rank AI-generated responses based on accuracy, relevance, tone, and adherence to specific safety and ethical guidelines.
  • Identify and categorize linguistic nuances, logical fallacies, and factual inconsistencies within diverse written materials.
  • Collaborate closely with AI researchers and data scientists to refine annotation guidelines and improve overall data quality workflows.
  • Participate in Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) cycles to iteratively enhance model performance and safety.
  • Perform root cause analysis on edge cases where model outputs deviate from desired quality standards or user expectations.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation of annotation decisions to ensure consistency and transparency across the evaluation program.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in natural language processing and data ethics to apply best practices to daily tasks.
  • Provide detailed feedback on model behavior to assist engineering teams in debugging and improving algorithmic accuracy.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, English, Communications, Philosophy, Data Science, or a related field requiring strong analytical skills.
  • Proven experience in data annotation, content moderation, or technical writing, preferably within an AI-focused environment.
  • Exceptional command of the English language, including a deep understanding of grammar, syntax, and complex semantics.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze multifaceted information and make objective, data-driven decisions.
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus while performing repetitive but cognitively demanding tasks.
  • Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and the general principles of machine learning or generative AI is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high productivity and meeting strict project deadlines.
  • Comfortable navigating various digital tools and proprietary platforms for data management and team collaboration.
  • Strong ethical judgment and an understanding of the impact of bias in data labeling and AI training.

Benefits
  • Fully remote work environment, offering the flexibility to balance professional and personal commitments from anywhere.
  • Opportunity to work at the absolute cutting edge of AI technology and contribute to meaningful advancements in the industry.
  • Competitive compensation package designed to attract and retain top-tier analytical and linguistic talent.
  • Collaborative culture that values diversity of thought and encourages continuous professional learning and development.
  • Access to a network of industry experts, researchers, and pioneers in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • Flexible scheduling options to accommodate different time zones and individual work-life preferences.
  • Potential for career growth and advancement within a rapidly expanding, technology-driven organization.
