Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end data lifecycle, from initial collection to the final presentation of findings. Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Extracting data from various primary and secondary sources using SQL and other data retrieval tools to ensure comprehensive coverage of business metrics.
- Cleaning and preprocessing large datasets to maintain high data quality standards, removing inconsistencies, and addressing missing values.
- Performing exploratory data analysis to identify significant patterns, correlations, and anomalies that can influence long-term business strategy.
- Developing and maintaining interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau or Power BI to communicate findings to stakeholders effectively.
- Applying statistical techniques and basic machine learning models to forecast trends and provide predictive insights for upcoming projects.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to understand their specific data needs and delivering tailored reports that support their unique objectives.
- Documenting analytical processes and data dictionaries to ensure transparency and reproducibility across the organization for future audits.
We are looking for candidates who possess a blend of technical expertise and analytical curiosity. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- A Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience working as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist, preferably in a remote or contract-based environment where self-management is key.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation, cleaning, and statistical analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases and managing complex data structures with efficiency.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas for rapid data auditing.
