About the Role

STEM Sync AI is at the forefront of a technological revolution that seeks to harmonize the precision of artificial intelligence with the profound complexity of human culture. We are seeking a highly specialized Cultural Research Specialist to join our elite team of evaluators. In this role, you will serve as a vital bridge between the digital and the humanities, ensuring that our AI models understand not just the mechanics of language, but the deep historical, artistic, and social contexts that define the human experience. As we push the boundaries of what machine learning can achieve, your expertise will be instrumental in teaching systems to interpret literature, art, philosophy, and cultural movements with the same degree of sensitivity and critical thought as a seasoned academic.

This is a unique opportunity for an individual who thrives at the intersection of tradition and innovation. You will be tasked with scrutinizing complex datasets, identifying subtle cultural biases, and providing the qualitative feedback necessary to refine high-level AI outputs. If you are passionate about preserving the integrity of the arts and humanities within the digital landscape, STEM Sync AI provides the platform and the resources to make a lasting impact on global technology. We value deep domain expertise, a meticulous eye for detail, and the ability to translate abstract cultural concepts into actionable insights for our technical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of AI-generated content to ensure historical accuracy, cultural relevance, and artistic integrity across diverse disciplines.
  • Perform deep-dive research into specific cultural epochs, artistic movements, and philosophical frameworks to create ground-truth benchmarks for model training.
  • Collaborate closely with machine learning engineers and data scientists to provide qualitative feedback that improves the nuance and tone of large language models.
  • Identify and document cultural biases, stereotypical representations, or historical inaccuracies in digital outputs, proposing sophisticated corrections based on academic standards.
  • Develop and refine evaluation rubrics and guidelines that assist in the standardization of cultural data processing and content generation.
  • Engage in comparative analysis of global cultural perspectives to ensure that AI systems are inclusive and representative of a wide array of human experiences.
  • Monitor emerging trends in the digital humanities to ensure STEM Sync AI remains a leader in culturally-aware technological development.

Qualifications
  • An advanced degree (MA or PhD) in Humanities, Art History, Cultural Studies, Comparative Literature, or a closely related field is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in academic research, professional cultural consultancy, or high-level content evaluation.
  • Exceptional command of the English language, with the ability to articulate complex cultural and historical arguments clearly and persuasively.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and analytically, with a proven track record of identifying subtle patterns and nuances in complex texts.
  • A strong interest in artificial intelligence and a willingness to learn the technical frameworks necessary to provide effective feedback to engineering teams.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing work that meets the highest standards of academic and professional excellence.

Benefits
  • A highly competitive compensation package with an hourly rate ranging from $80 to $120, depending on expertise and experience.
  • Total flexibility in scheduling, allowing you to manage your professional contributions around your personal life and other commitments.
  • The ability to work from anywhere in the world, provided you have a stable internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
  • The chance to be a part of a pioneering team that is shaping the ethical and cultural foundations of next-generation artificial intelligence.
  • Opportunities for professional growth at the intersection of technology and the humanities, a rapidly expanding and high-impact field.
