About the Role

MLB Network seeks a Counsel, Business & Legal Affairs with strong knowledge and understanding of legal and business issues related to media/production, strong negotiation and drafting skills, and a solid understanding of business operations.

The Counsel will be a technology-focused attorney supporting media production operations while handling SaaS and digital infrastructure transactions. This individual will partner cross-functionally to translate business objectives into practical legal solutions and manage risk across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of technology and commercial agreements, including SaaS, cloud services, software development, and licensing agreements.
• Managing business operation and content production agreements, including studio and remote production, transmission, event-related, and content acquisition contracts.
• Advising on data privacy, cybersecurity, AI/automation tools, IP ownership, and risk allocation in technology transactions.
• Partnering with production technology, engineering, IT, product, procurement, and finance teams.
• Developing and maintaining contract templates and playbooks to streamline contracting processes.
