About the Role
Wisefind is seeking a dedicated and visionary Coordinador de Medio Ambiente y Desarrollo Comunitario to join a leading second-tier foundation. This role is designed for a professional who thrives at the intersection of ecological health and social equity, focusing on empowering vulnerable communities through a systemic and regenerative lens. As a key bridge between the foundation and its territorial partners, you will move beyond traditional conservationism to foster deep-rooted resilience and sustainable local economies. This position offers a hybrid work model, beginning with a comprehensive one-month in-person onboarding to fully immerse you in our institutional culture and strategic vision.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will oversee the entire lifecycle of foundation-supported strategies, ensuring that environmental protection and community well-trough are inextricably linked. Your core duties will include:
- Coordinating the full strategic cycle—design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and closure—for environmental and productive community development initiatives.
- Providing high-level technical accompaniment to partner organizations, assisting in the development of robust logical frameworks, budgets, and operational timelines.
- Executing intensive fieldwork and territorial visits to engage in meaningful dialogue with local communities, allied organizations, and key regional stakeholders.
- Facilitating participatory evaluation processes and the systematization of institutional learning to continuously improve social impact.
- Documenting territorial experiences and generating data-driven reports to support executive decision-making and strategic pivots.
- Ensuring all projects maintain a regenerative focus, prioritizing environmental justice and the strengthening of local circular economies.
We are looking for a professional with a deep commitment to social-environmental justice and a proven track record in field-based project management. Requirements include:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Development, Environmental Sciences, Ecology, Geography, Environmental Engineering, Community Development, or related fields.
- A Master’s degree in Sustainability, Rural Development, or Socio-Environmental Studies is highly desirable.
- Proven professional experience within civil society organizations (CSOs), international cooperation, or socio-environmental projects involving direct field intervention.
- A solid understanding of the regenerative paradigm and environmental justice, focusing on the interdependence of territory, community, and local production.
- Exceptional intercultural sensitivity and a rights-based approach to community engagement.
- The ability to translate complex socio-environmental diagnoses into viable, culturally pertinent, and scalable project proposals.
- Strong networking and articulation skills to bridge gaps between CSOs, academia, local authorities, and grassroots communities.
- Full availability for frequent travel to diverse territorial locations.
