About the Role

MissionWired is looking for a technically proficient Corporate Controller to lead our Accounting function. This critical leadership role operates in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment, overseeing key functions such as Internal Audit, Billing & Collections, Treasury, AP, and Tax.

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with a target 7-day close.
• Prepare monthly management and board reporting packages, including detailed EBITDA and Revenue variance analysis.
• Manage a team of 6-8 people across various accounting and finance functions.
• Oversee complex billing lifecycles, including retainers, milestones, and high-volume media pass-through costs.
• Ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition and maintain capitalization policies under ASC 350-40 and ASC 985-20.
• Drive the "Order-to-Cash" and "Procure-to-Pay" workflows to maximize free cash flow and ensure vendor accuracy.
• Optimize ERP systems (NetSuite or Sage Intacct) and automate data flows between CRM and the General Ledger.

• 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience; private equity or venture capital background preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and an active CPA certification.
• Expert knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606.
• Advanced proficiency in mid-to-enterprise tier ERPs (NetSuite or Sage Intacct) and Excel modeling.
• Experience in professional services, technology, or SaaS sectors.
