About the Role

At RG&T Solutions, we believe that every viewer deserves a personalized journey through the world of entertainment. We are currently seeking a meticulous and media-savvy Content Tagger to join our remote operations team. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who possess a deep appreciation for cinematic storytelling and a structural mindset for data organization. As a Tagger, you will play a critical role in refining our content discovery engine, ensuring that our global audience can easily navigate our extensive library of films, television series, and original programming. Your insights and categorization will serve as the backbone of our recommendation system, directly impacting user engagement and overall satisfaction in an increasingly crowded digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Watch and critically evaluate a diverse range of media assets, including feature films, episodic television, documentaries, and short-form original content.
  • Assign highly accurate metadata and descriptive tags to content based on established taxonomies, focusing on elements such as genre, sub-genre, narrative themes, mood, and character archetypes.
  • Collaborate with the content strategy team to ensure that all metadata aligns with platform standards and evolving viewer trends across different regions.
  • Identify and document nuances in storytelling, such as pacing, tone, and visual style, to provide a multi-dimensional view of each title for the recommendation engine.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on existing metadata to rectify inconsistencies and improve the overall integrity of the content database.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, cinematic tropes, and pop culture shifts to ensure tagging remains relevant, inclusive, and contemporary.
  • Manage high volumes of content while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and adhering to strict production deadlines and quality KPIs.
  • Provide feedback on internal tagging tools and workflows to help optimize the efficiency of the content categorization process.

Qualifications
  • A demonstrated passion for film, television, and digital media, with a broad knowledge of various genres, historical contexts, and cinematic history.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and an innate ability to spot subtle nuances and thematic patterns that others might overlook.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capacity to translate subjective viewing experiences into objective, data-driven tags and categories.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, demonstrating excellent time-management and self-motivation skills.
  • Proficiency in using digital content management systems (CMS) and basic productivity software such as Excel or Google Workspace.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to describe complex themes in a concise and structured manner.
  • Previous experience in librarianship, archival work, content moderation, or data entry is considered a significant advantage for this role.
  • A high degree of adaptability to learn new tagging systems and evolving metadata guidelines as the platform grows and scales.

Benefits
  • The flexibility of a 100% remote working environment, allowing you to manage your professional tasks from the comfort of your home office.
  • A culture that celebrates creativity and a shared love for the entertainment industry and digital innovation.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within a rapidly expanding solutions provider focused on cutting-edge media technology.
  • Access to a wide variety of premium and upcoming content as a core part of your daily professional workflow.
  • Competitive compensation packages and the chance to contribute to a product used by a diverse, global audience of millions.
  • Supportive management and a collaborative team atmosphere that values individual contribution and data-driven excellence.
