As a key member of our operations division, you will be responsible for bridge-building between high-level safety standards and day-to-day execution. This remote position offers the opportunity to influence the professional development of a diverse workforce while contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of our global projects. You will be tasked with identifying skill gaps, providing actionable feedback, and ensuring that all operational staff meet the rigorous certification requirements necessary for our industry-leading initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and manage comprehensive competency assessment programs for the operations department to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of operational staff through a mix of practical demonstrations, technical interviews, and written examinations.
- Identify performance trends and skill deficiencies across the organization, providing detailed reports and recommendations to senior management for targeted training interventions.
- Maintain meticulous records of all assessments, certifications, and training progress within the internal Learning Management System (LMS).
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to update assessment criteria in alignment with evolving technology and operational procedures.
- Ensure that all safety protocols and quality control measures are integrated into the competency framework to mitigate operational risks.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional accountability.
- Proven experience as a Competency Assessor or in a similar technical training and evaluation role within the energy, oil and gas, or manufacturing sectors.
- Deep understanding of operational safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback to diverse professional groups.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical data and translate it into actionable development plans.
- Relevant professional certifications in auditing, assessing, or adult education (e.g., A1, TAQA, or equivalent).
- A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of productivity.
