About the Role

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our branch team. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Cleaner at Booker, your primary objective is to maintain our building in a clean and orderly condition. You will be responsible for the comprehensive upkeep of designated facility areas, which includes meticulous dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping. Your role involves the sanitation of restrooms and communal areas to ensure they remain stocked and supplied for all users. Beyond standard cleaning, you will be expected to perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities, ensuring that every corner of the branch meets our rigorous hygiene standards.
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special maintenance projects as assigned by management.
- Notify leadership immediately of any occurring deficiencies, safety hazards, or needs for structural repairs.
- Make minor adjustments and basic repairs to equipment to ensure operational continuity.
- Stock and maintain supply rooms with high efficiency, ensuring inventory levels are monitored.
- Cooperate fully with the wider branch staff to facilitate a seamless shopping experience for customers.
- Strictly adhere to all health and safety regulations, including COSHH and internal safety protocols.
- Maintain a professional presentation and represent the Booker brand through excellence in facility care.
