About the Role
The Dollar Foundation is seeking a visionary and hands-on Founding Chief Executive Officer to lead the next phase of the Bitcoin Dollar ecosystem. As the non-profit steward of a pioneering DeFi yield platform, we have developed a sophisticated collateral primitive that captures returns from productive BTC, stablecoins, and volatility-monetization. With a live, audited protocol built by industry veterans from Coinme, Bullish, and ShapeShift, we are ready to scale. This is a high-impact, commercial role designed for a crypto-native operator who thrives at the intersection of capital markets, community building, and technical innovation.
As the CEO, you will be the driving force behind the platforms growth, moving beyond foundational development to aggressive market expansion. You will own the FISC token economy and be responsible for scaling Total Value Locked (TVL) across our innovative USD and BTC vaults. This position demands a leader who can articulate a complex financial vision to sophisticated audiences while simultaneously managing the granular details of liquidity mining, incentive programs, and risk infrastructure. You will work alongside a lean, senior team to transform The Dollar Foundation into a multi-asset powerhouse, setting the standard for productive collateral in the decentralized finance landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Drive TVL and Growth: Aggressively scale Total Value Locked across token demand, staking, and vault deposits while establishing and reporting on the core financial metrics governing the ecosystem.
- Capital Formation: Lead end-to-end fundraising efforts, specifically focusing on securing a Series A from crypto-native investors and bootstrapping seed liquidity to ensure long-term retention.
- Token Economy Management: Direct the FISC token strategy, including the design and execution of tokenomics, emissions schedules, incentive programs, and bribe-market deployments.
- Curator and Risk Relations: Convert existing relationships with curators and risk firms into live, endorsed integrations to unlock protocol trust and institutional adoption.
- Public Evangelism: Serve as the primary face of Bitcoin Dollar and FISC at global conferences, on top-tier podcasts, and across social platforms to build a credible and transparent brand narrative.
- Ecosystem Integration: Forge strategic partnerships and technical integrations with major DeFi protocols such as Pendle, Morpho, and Aave to extend the distribution and composability of sBTCD.
- Operational Leadership: Manage a senior team, oversee runway and burn rates, and steward the roadmap toward a multi-asset family of products and decentralized governance.
- Proven DeFi Track Record: Demonstrable experience driving measurable TVL or AUM growth at a recognized DeFi protocol with defensible, data-backed results.
- Capital Markets Expertise: Deep fluency in tokenomics design, lending markets, vault mechanics, and on-chain analytics.
- Fundraising Success: Extensive experience raising capital from top-tier crypto venture capital firms or operating as an institutional allocator.
- Industry Network: Established relationships with risk firms and curators such as Gauntlet, Block Analitica, or Steakhouse, with the ability to secure protocol endorsements.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional public presence with the ability to explain complex rebalancing and yield mechanics to a sophisticated audience.
- Operational Agility: A "player-coach" mentality, comfortable leading a lean team of fewer than 20 people in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
- Regulatory Awareness: High integrity and sound understanding of the regulatory landscape relevant to Cayman non-profit foundations and token issuers.
