About the Role

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Caretaker, you will be responsible for the end-to-end upkeep and security of the City’s public-facing assets. Your primary focus will be on the presentation and functionality of our buildings to ensure a positive user experience for all patrons.
- Perform comprehensive cleaning and hygiene maintenance across various City halls and community facilities.
- Conduct basic facility maintenance and minor repairs to ensure all equipment and infrastructure remain in safe working order.
- Manage the opening and closing procedures for public buildings, ensuring all sites are secure and accessible as required.
- Liaise effectively with internal departments and external community groups to coordinate facility usage and address feedback.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information and City operations at all times.
- Identify and report any major maintenance requirements or safety hazards to the relevant supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members across different departments to ensure a consistent standard of excellence across the City’s property portfolio.

- Proven experience in cleaning and basic building maintenance within a professional or commercial setting.
