Key Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant, your duties are diverse and centered around the holistic well-being of our clients. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive personal care and support that mirrors the attention one would receive from a family member, while maintaining the highest professional standards. Your main tasks will include:

  • Assisting clients with their morning and evening routines, such as helping them get in and out of bed, dressing, undressing, and maintaining personal hygiene through bathing or washing.
  • Supporting clients with mobility challenges, utilizing specialized equipment and personal aids safely to assist those with physical disabilities or incontinence needs.
  • Providing specialized care for clients who are temporarily unwell, including bed nursing, nutritional support, and careful monitoring of their condition.
  • Delivering sensitive and compassionate end-of-life care for terminally ill clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity are prioritized at all times.
  • Promoting mental and physical well-being through engagement in social activities, hobbies, reading, and accompanied outings to prevent isolation.
  • Managing domestic tasks such as light cleaning, tidying living spaces, changing bed linens, and assisting with laundry or mending of clothes.
  • Preparing and serving nutritious light meals, including setting tables and managing all aspects of kitchen hygiene and clearing up.
  • Maintaining accurate records and detailed reports regarding client health and progress, and participating actively in training sessions and client reviews.
  • Collaborating closely with the Field Care Supervisor and Care Manager to report any significant changes in a clients health or personal circumstances immediately.

Qualifications
