About the Role

Dana Incorporated is a world leader in providing high-performance solutions for the automotive, commercial vehicle, and off-highway markets. As we continue to innovate within the e-propulsion and power-conveyance sectors, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Production Coordinator to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role is essential for maintaining the operational excellence that Dana is known for, serving as a vital bridge between our manufacturing facilities and our administrative leadership. In this position, you will leverage your expertise in production workflows to ensure that our Canadian operations continue to run smoothly, safely, and efficiently from your home office.

As a General Production Coordinator, you will play a transformative role in how we manage our manufacturing data and logistical planning. You will be tasked with interpreting complex production metrics and translating them into actionable strategies that help our on-site teams meet their targets. This is an incredible opportunity for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment but seeks the flexibility of a remote work arrangement. At Dana, we value forward-thinking individuals who are ready to contribute to the future of mobility through diligent support, clear communication, and a commitment to quality that is second to none.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and coordinative tasks designed to streamline our production cycles. Your primary focus will be on the digital management of manufacturing schedules and the synchronization of cross-departmental efforts.

  • Monitor and analyze real-time production data across multiple shifts to identify potential bottlenecks or equipment downtime.
  • Facilitate daily synchronization meetings with plant supervisors and department heads to align on production goals and resource allocation.
  • Manage the lifecycle of work orders within the ERP system, ensuring that all data entries are accurate and reflect current inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure that raw materials are staged and ready for production according to the master schedule.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including yield rates, scrap percentages, and labor efficiency.
  • Liaise with the Quality Assurance team to document compliance with ISO standards and internal safety protocols.
  • Provide remote administrative support for workforce planning, including tracking certifications and specialized training requirements for floor staff.
  • Assist in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles by identifying process improvement opportunities through data analysis.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess a unique blend of manufacturing knowledge and digital proficiency. We are looking for a candidate who understands the nuances of a factory floor but can manage those complexities through a remote interface.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a production coordination, manufacturing support, or supply chain role.
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, with the ability to create pivot tables and complex data visualizations.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a proven ability to solve problems under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, necessary for managing relationships across diverse teams in a remote setting.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required; an Associates or Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Logistics, or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to maintain high productivity levels without direct physical supervision.

Benefits

Dana Incorporated is committed to the well-being and professional growth of every employee. We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, your family, and your future.

  • Competitive base salary with performance-based incentive programs.
  • Fully remote work environment with a dedicated home-office equipment stipend.
