About the Role

OpsArmy Careers is seeking a meticulous and talented British English Voice Recording Specialist to play a pivotal role in the development of next-generation AI and machine learning technologies. In this remote, project-based position, you will utilize your native or near-native British English proficiency to deliver high-quality voice recordings across a diverse range of scripts, tones, and speaking styles. This is an exceptional opportunity for linguistics enthusiasts, educators, and communication professionals to contribute to the evolving landscape of speech recognition and text-to-speech innovation while working from the comfort of their own environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality voice recordings of provided scripts with precise pronunciation, natural delivery, and consistent articulation.
  • Strictly adhere to project-specific guidelines, pronunciation standards, and technical instructions to ensure data integrity.
  • Adapt vocal style, pace, and emotional tone to meet varying project requirements and personas.
  • Ensure all audio submissions are free from background noise, distortion, or technical interference.
  • Conduct thorough self-reviews of recordings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to script variations before final submission.
  • Communicate effectively with the project team regarding script ambiguities, technical hurdles, or pronunciation nuances.
  • Manage individual workflows to consistently meet project deadlines and volume targets.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and vocal consistency throughout the duration of the project lifecycle.

Qualifications
  • Native or near-native proficiency in British English with a mastery of standard pronunciation and diction.
  • A professional background in English language instruction, ESL/EFL teaching, linguistics, speech-language pathology, or communications.
  • Exceptional ability to read scripts with a natural, engaging, and conversational flow rather than a robotic delivery.
  • A quiet, sound-controlled environment suitable for high-quality audio capture.
  • Reliable high-speed internet access and proficiency with web-based recording platforms and basic computer applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex, multi-step instructions independently.
  • Previous experience in voice-over, podcasting, broadcasting, or audio production is highly advantageous.
  • Teaching certifications such as TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or DELTA are considered a significant plus.
  • Experience contributing to AI training data, speech recognition projects, or audiobook narration is preferred.

Benefits
  • Flexible, remote work-from-home arrangement allowing for an optimized work-life balance.
  • Opportunity to contribute to innovative AI and machine learning projects for global technology leaders.
  • Professional growth within the burgeoning field of linguistic data and speech technology.
  • Streamlined communication and project management through a dedicated support team.
  • Competitive project-based compensation with the potential for recurring assignments based on performance.

Qualified applicants will be contacted via email regarding the next steps in the hiring process. We look forward to hearing your voice.
