About the Role
Bonial, a prominent entity within Axel Springer SE, is the leading "Drive to Store" partner in Germany and France, dedicated to bridging the gap between digital inspiration and physical retail. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Product Manager (f/m/x) to join our Client-Facing Product Team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of the digital transformation in retail, working to streamline how we receive and transform content from our retail partners to create a world-class onboarding experience. You will lead a dedicated team to build scalable, efficient, and innovative solutions that empower millions of users through our platforms like kaufDA, MeinProspekt, and Bonial.fr.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Product Manager, you will hold end-to-end responsibility for maximizing value creation within our Content-Sourcing domain. This involves a deep partnership with engineering teams, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that we are not just building things right, but building the right things. You will be expected to maintain a high-level overview of our technical landscape while ensuring every initiative aligns perfectly with our broader corporate objectives. Your role will involve translating complex product strategies into actionable roadmaps, initiatives, epics, and user stories that the team can execute with precision.
- Identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities through rigorous data analysis and user research to address business needs and provide tangible value to our users.
- Define and validate hypotheses through experimentation, setting clear success metrics to measure the outcomes of every product release.
- Transform abstract ideas into concrete initiatives with clearly defined use cases, scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate closely with other Product Managers and Engineering leads to optimize operative processes and ensure technical scalability.
- Support our clients directly during onboarding and coordination phases to facilitate seamless data integration and technical alignment.
- Lead the integration of Artificial Intelligence within our workflows, identifying meaningful applications for AI tools to enhance efficiency and product quality.
The ideal candidate is a pragmatic strategist who thrives in environments of uncertainty and is capable of driving organizational change. You should possess a proven track record in product management, specifically within technical or platform-oriented domains. We are looking for someone who does not just manage tasks, but someone who understands the business ROI of every feature and can build a compelling case for investment. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be the bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders, and our high-profile retail clients.
- Extensive experience in Product Management, specifically as a Product Owner or PM for platform products or internal technical tools.
- A data-driven mindset with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components and develop validation strategies early in the lifecycle.
- Proven ability to prioritize initiatives based on strategic business impact rather than just technical feasibility.
- Practical competence in AI, understanding both the opportunities and limitations of the technology in a product context.
- Experience in Change Management, specifically guiding teams through organizational or technical shifts.
- Fluency in both German and English is mandatory; proficiency in French is considered a significant advantage.
