As a Bilingual Associate Mental Health Therapist, you will be at the forefront of this mission, providing essential counseling services to a diverse population. You will work within a multidisciplinary framework, collaborating with external partners and internal teams to provide seamless care coordination, including psychiatric medication management, substance use disorder treatment, and peer support. Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality individual and group therapeutic interventions to a diverse caseload of patients via a secure telehealth platform.
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify mental health needs, substance use history, and social determinants of health.
- Develop and implement personalized, trauma-informed treatment plans that align with the 'no wrong door' philosophy and promote patient autonomy.
- Provide fluent bilingual services in English and Spanish, ensuring that therapeutic concepts are communicated accurately and with cultural sensitivity.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and care coordinators, to ensure integrated care delivery.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, adhering to all HIPAA and state regulatory standards.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings to enhance clinical skills and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support patients in navigating the continuum of care, providing crisis intervention and stabilization services when necessary.
- Advocate for patient needs and work to eliminate barriers to care, reflecting Ascend Healthcares commitment to health equity.
- Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
- Current Associate-level licensure in the state of Arizona (e.g., LAC, LMSW, LAMFT) in good standing.
- Native or professional-level fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
- Strong clinical foundation in evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing.
- Experience or a strong interest in working within an integrated care model that includes psychiatry and substance use treatment.
- Proficiency in utilizing telehealth technology and Electronic Health Record (EHR) software.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high standards of professionalism and productivity.
