Key Responsibilities- Develop and document standardized recipes and preparation techniques for a variety of specialty coffee beverages to ensure consistency and quality.
- Provide expert virtual consultations and troubleshooting for equipment maintenance, grind adjustments, and milk texturing techniques.
- Create engaging educational content, including video tutorials and written guides, to train staff and inform customers on the heritage and flavor profiles of our bean selections.
- Monitor industry trends and suggest innovative seasonal menu additions that align with the Spark brand identity and customer preferences.
- Collaborate with the customer success team to resolve complex product inquiries and provide personalized brewing recommendations.
- Maintain a deep understanding of sustainability practices and ethical sourcing to educate our community on the positive impact of their coffee choices.
- Act as a mentor to junior team members by providing constructive feedback and fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- At least 2-3 years of experience as a Lead Barista or Coffee Trainer in a high-volume, specialty coffee environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of espresso machine operation, manual brewing methods, and latte art techniques.
- SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) certification or equivalent professional training is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects independently in a remote setting.
- Proficiency with digital communication tools and basic video editing software for content creation.
