Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Product Designer at B12, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design lifecycle, ensuring that every touchpoint of our customer journey is intuitive, cohesive, and visually compelling. Your primary focus will include:
- Thinking systematically about all elements of the customer experience to design scalable, long-term product solutions.
- Leading the creation of brand-new product features and user experiences from initial concept through to final handoff.
- Actively contributing to and evolving our comprehensive design system to maintain consistency and efficiency across the platform.
- Collaborating deeply with engineering teams to provide guidance during the implementation phase and ensuring high-quality output through rigorous design QA and product reviews as designs are rolled out.
- Partnering closely with Product Leadership to define the strategic roadmap and overall product direction.
- Conducting qualitative research and utilizing quantitative insights to deeply understand user needs and desires.
- Developing detailed user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity visual designs, and clickable interactive prototypes to communicate ideas effectively.
- Identifying and experimenting with cutting-edge design tools and AI-driven methodologies to enhance the team’s efficiency and output.
We are looking for a designer who is both a strategic thinker and a meticulous craftsman. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical skill and collaborative spirit, including:
- Approximately 5 to 8 years of professional experience in product design, ideally within a SaaS or high-growth startup environment.
- A proven track record as an independent contributor capable of owning all aspects of the design process, from inception and research to implementation.
- Extensive experience working effectively alongside cross-functional partners in Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales.
- An analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to understanding what is required for great user experiences.
- Mastery of Figma and a keen interest or experience in using emerging AI-powered design tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex design decisions to diverse stakeholders.
- A solid background in web design and a deep understanding of modern design principles.
- A BA/BS/BFA in a related field or equivalent practical industry experience.
