In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing all phases of store operations, managing personnel, and maintaining high standards of merchandising and customer service to drive profitability and brand loyalty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Lead company best practices to maximize productivity and minimize operational friction; analyze store reports to evaluate performance and manage controllable expenses.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and develop non-exempt associates; handle associate relations issues with professionalism and ensure compliance with all personnel policies.
  • Customer Experience: Supervise and coach associates to provide efficient, friendly service at registers, fitting rooms, and the sales floor while maintaining a clean and easy-to-shop environment.
  • Merchandising and Marketing: Ensure merchandise is processed and organized according to company guidelines; oversee sizing, recovery, and markdowns to maintain high store standards.
  • Loss Prevention and Safety: Implement safety protocols to protect associates and customers; manage the annual inventory process and maintain integrity in all cash and merchandise handling.
  • Administrative Oversight: Manage payroll administration including daily punch edits, scheduling compliance, and reporting to ensure labor hours align with business trends.
  • Brand Management: Model a professional appearance and reinforce the company dress code while representing the Ross brand through high standards of housekeeping and organization.
Qualifications
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of two years of experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager within a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to supervise, motivate, and communicate effectively with associates at all levels to achieve common goals.
  • Operational Acumen: Strong ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and exercise independent judgment in a high-volume setting.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in performing basic mathematical calculations and using retail technology, including registers and PCs.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the business.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to stand and move throughout the store for the duration of a shift, with the capacity to lift up to 25 lbs and perform essential cleaning and stocking tasks.
  • Communication: Full fluency in English is required to facilitate clear communication with team members and customers.
