About the Role

Universia Mxico is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Corporate Legal and HR Assistant to join our growing team. This role is designed for a professional who enjoys a multi-faceted environment where legal compliance intersects with human resources management. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our administrative processes run smoothly, our documentation is impeccable, and our corporate obligations are met with the highest standards of accuracy. By bridging the gap between legal oversight and personnel administration, you will contribute directly to the organizational health and operational efficiency of our company in a dynamic, remote-first setting.

As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for the meticulous management of corporate records and the tracking of various legal instruments. We value individuals who are not only administratively proficient but also possess a deep understanding of the importance of confidentiality and ethical handling of information. This position provides a significant platform for professional development, offering exposure to complex corporate law topics, labor relations, and strategic human resources functions. Whether you are coordinating digital signatures or ensuring that employee files are compliant with local regulations, your work will be foundational to our success.

Key Responsibilities

The Corporate Legal and HR Assistant will handle a diverse range of duties aimed at maintaining the integrity of our legal and administrative frameworks. Your core focus will include:

  • Managing and maintaining physical and digital corporate and labor files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Monitoring the lifecycle of various contracts, including tracking expiration dates, managing renewal processes, and ensuring all parties are aligned with contractual obligations.
  • Coordinating the signature process for legal documents, including the use of digital signature platforms and occasional physical logistics.
  • Providing comprehensive support to the Human Resources department in the administration of personnel files and the collection of necessary documentation for hiring and compliance.
  • Generating detailed administrative reports and spreadsheets to track the status of legal proceedings, labor requirements, and internal audits.
  • Ensuring full compliance with local labor laws and corporate regulations by assisting in the preparation of regulatory filings and internal policy updates.
  • Acting as a point of contact for internal requirements related to legal documents, providing timely and accurate responses to various departments.
  • Assisting in the implementation of data protection protocols and ensuring the secure handling of sensitive corporate and personal information.

Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate who balances technical knowledge with exceptional organizational abilities. The ideal profile includes:

  • A Bachelors degree in Law, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or assistant role within a legal department or HR environment is highly preferred.
  • Foundational knowledge of corporate law principles and Mexican labor regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of discretion and a demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid work environment.

Benefits

Universia Mxico is committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees. By joining us, you will enjoy:

  • A competitive compensation package aligned with market standards and professional experience.
  • Flexible work arrangements, including a remote-first or hybrid model with modern office space available in Paseo de la Reforma, CDMX.
  • Opportunities for rapid professional growth and career advancement within a leading organization in the education and corporate services sector.
  • Exposure to high-level corporate legal and HR strategies that will enhance your professional toolkit.
  • A collaborative and inclusive company culture that values innovation, dedication, and work-life balance.
  • Immediate incorporation into a structured and supportive team environment.
