About the Role

Sinica Education is seeking a dedicated and versatile Academic Specialist to join our elite instructional team. Co-founded by Harvard graduates, our organization is committed to providing premium online educational content, academic counseling, and personalized one-on-one teaching to international middle school, high school, and college students. As an Academic Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring student success by delivering rigorous curriculum and mentorship through advanced online learning tools. While we welcome experts in all subject areas, we are currently prioritizing candidates with strong backgrounds in Economics who can guide students through complex AP and undergraduate coursework.

• Deliver high-quality, engaging one-on-one and small-group instruction to international students via online platforms.
• Instruct students in high school AP-level curricula and introductory to intermediate college courses, specifically focusing on Microeconomics and Macroeconomics.
• Adapt teaching methodologies to meet the diverse needs, ages, and ability levels of international learners.
• Develop and implement personalized lesson plans that reinforce core academic concepts and improve student performance.
• Provide comprehensive academic support and guidance to ensure students meet their long-term educational goals.
• Collaborate with the academic counseling team to track student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Maintain a professional and supportive virtual classroom environment that encourages student participation and inquiry.

• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree from a top 30 university in the United States or Canada.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least two academic subjects, with a strong preference for candidates proficient in AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics.
• A genuine passion for education and a commitment to working with international students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Previous classroom teaching experience at the high school or university level is highly preferred.
• Prior experience in tutoring or academic coaching if formal classroom experience has not been obtained.
• Familiarity with AP-level curricula and the specific requirements of North American standardized testing.
• Proficiency with online learning management systems and virtual meeting tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner.
