About the Role
Gildan is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Customer Routing Analyst to join our Planning and Scheduling Department. In this critical role, you will serve as a key link between our manufacturing excellence and our major retail partners, ensuring that every shipment meets stringent compliance standards and arrives on schedule. As part of a global leader in basic apparel, you will work within a sophisticated vertical supply chain to optimize distribution processes and uphold our vision of Making Apparel Better®.
As a Customer Routing Analyst, you will navigate complex vendor portals and maintain rigorous routing guides to mitigate risks and eliminate delivery friction. Reporting directly to the Manager of Customer Routing, you will act as a strategic problem-solver, coordinating between internal distribution teams and external carriers to resolve logistical bottlenecks. Key Responsibilities- Manage logistics and compliance for high-priority retail accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for carrier pickup delays and routing escalations.
- Interpret and implement customer-specific routing guides to ensure full compliance across routing and distribution centers.
- Collaborate with internal planning teams to prioritize product receipts based on account-specific processing windows and order timing.
- Maintain and update routing tables and vendor manuals to ensure logistics data remains accurate and actionable.
- Utilize customer-specific routing portals to authorize shipments and communicate critical logistics data.
- Partner with Distribution Center Logistics Clerks to address unique customer requirements during and after the order fulfillment process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve shipping discrepancies, including packing errors, misguided freight, and labeling issues, to minimize chargebacks and penalties.
- Analyze logistics performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements for supply chain efficiency.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a supply chain, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (data analysis), Word, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze complex information to solve logistical challenges at a high level.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to external customers.
- Proven track record of managing multiple priorities and meeting demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to professional conduct and team-based collaboration.
- Experience with major retail routing portals and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards is highly preferred.
