About the Role
Mphasis is looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Sales Operations & Pricing Analyst to join our global team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end deal lifecycle, ensuring that pricing strategies are executed with precision, margins are optimized, and sales teams are empowered with the analytical insights necessary to close high-value contracts efficiently.
As an Analyst, you will act as a critical bridge between Sales, Product Management, and Finance, managing transactional and promotional bid deals while maintaining strict compliance with global policies. This role is ideal for a financial or operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the analytical rigor to handle complex P&L validations. You will be responsible for ensuring that every deal processed contributes to the company's profitability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- End-to-End Deal Management: Orchestrate the creation, validation, and processing of indirect bid deals, including transactional, promotional, and Managed Print Services (MPS) contracts within internal systems.
- Strategic Pricing & Margin Analysis: Conduct comprehensive P&L analysis for all deal requests to ensure pricing accuracy and margin health. Provide data-driven recommendations to sales teams for margin optimization.
- Compliance & Governance: Review incoming deals for policy adherence, performing essential compliance checks against country-specific delegation matrices and escalating non-standard risks to stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Orchestration: Serve as the primary liaison between Sales, Category Managers, and Partners, facilitating smooth communication and providing technical guidance on deal-structuring tools.
- Quoting & Approvals: Execute pricing approvals within delegated authority and generate official customer quotes, ensuring all documentation is justified and recorded for audit purposes.
- Reporting & Business Intelligence: Develop and deliver sophisticated sales and pricing reports that track key performance metrics such as pricing accuracy, turnaround times (TAT), and profitability trends.
- Special Pricing Support: Manage high-priority special pricing requests by validating justifications and providing expert guidance to support business growth and competitive positioning.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Professional Experience: 2 to 6+ years of experience in sales operations, pricing analysis, or deal support, preferably within the IT or Technology sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with enterprise reporting tools; familiarity with CRM or deal-management software is highly valued.
- Analytical Rigor: Strong ability to interpret financial data, understand P&L structures, and identify margin-improvement opportunities.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for managing global stakeholders and complex negotiations.
- Operational Excellence: Ability to work effectively in an SLA-driven environment with high volume and strict deadlines.
- Availability: Commitment to supporting global operations via night shift schedules (typically 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM IST).
