About the Role

One World Global Services LLC is expanding its global network of professional linguists and is currently seeking experienced, high-caliber Interpreters for a variety of languages, including but not limited to American Sign Language (ASL), Arabic, Burmese, Chinese, Fulani, Japanese, Khmer, Portuguese, Telugu, and many others. As an essential link in cross-cultural communication, you will facilitate clear and accurate dialogue between English speakers and Non-English speakers across various industries, with a primary focus on the healthcare and medical sectors. This is a fully remote, per-minute or fixed-rate opportunity designed for dedicated professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to linguistic excellence.

• Facilitate professional, accurate, and ethical interpretation for parties with limited English proficiency in a variety of settings.
• Render all messages accurately and completely, maintaining the content and spirit of the original message without omission or addition.
• Adhere strictly to the Interpreter’s National Code of Ethics and professional standards of conduct.
• Maintain a high level of terminology knowledge within specific industries, particularly focusing on medical, healthcare, insurance, and legal sectors.
• Demonstrate exceptional active listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills to ensure seamless communication during complex calls.
• Engage in continuous professional development and participate in internal training sessions to refine interpreting techniques and industry knowledge.
• Collaborate effectively with team leaders and management, providing regular reports and maintaining open lines of communication regarding schedule and performance.

• Bilingual or Native-level proficiency in both English and the target language (minimum 90% English proficiency).
• A minimum of 1 year of professional interpreting experience is highly desirable.
• Strong grasp of cultural nuances and high emotional intelligence to navigate diverse communication styles.
• A professional, quiet workspace free from background noise and distractions.
• Technical Requirements: A steady, high-speed wired internet connection (Ethernet), a professional USB wired headset, and a reliable computer running Windows 10 or MacOS.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure and handle sensitive information with total confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow a clear, predetermined work schedule.
